Installing new software?
Do you know what it is sending "home"?
Stop
"legitimate spyware" from leaking unknown information from your
computer!
With all the spyware flooding the internet these days it’s nearly
impossible to be positive that your personal data is truly safe.
Software Candy’s Net CeaseFire helps you
stop invasions by
disconnecting the Internet access on your computer with a
single click. Plain and simple, it is an Internet switch.
Even legitimate websites can stay connected to your computer through
cookies and spyware, but what about those with more
sinister motives? Trojans, hackers, malware, viruses,
and worms are rampant in the digital world. Why
take chances with your personal finances and safety? Identity theft is
a huge problem today and once your privacy has been compromised it can
be hard to get it back.
The best
firewalls and other security
measures can fail under an attack which is why Software Candy has
created an internet lock that disables all unauthorized Internet access
before it starts. Net CeaseFire is a powerful weapon in your Defensive
Computing arsenal.
Total Internet security couldn’t be simpler. Software Candy’s fast and
secure download takes just minutes to install and gives you total
control over your computer’s Internet access. Like all of Software
Candy’s innovative products, Net CeaseFire is designed to do just one
thing and do it well,
completely block internet access when
you don’t want it, and you don’t need to be a computer
programmer to use it.
Before you access those important files or plug in a USB stick
containing personal information just use Net CeaseFire’s Toggle
Internet
feature to
completely turn off the Internet with
the push of a button, effectively closing the curtain on spyware in one
easy step. When you want to go back online simply Toggle
Internet back and your Internet access is instantly restored.

Net CeaseFire is perfect for both homes and offices and
will
not block your network connections to a shared file server.
Keep your private life private and your business’s financial documents
secure from hidden risks.
New!

Note:

no desktop icons will be installed, as to
avoid cluttering your desktop. Instead, you will find a Software Candy
entry in your Start Menu, which allows you to uninstall it, should you
ever want to do this.
Occasionally, when you're online, something suspicious happens
(for example, your hard-drive being accessed for an unusually long
time). You then want to block any Internet activity that might be
occurring
but without dropping the connection (if you're on dial-up)
or without unplugging the cable (if you receive Internet via DSL or
Cable). Some personal firewall provide the ability to disconnect the
Internet completely, but even then this function is not easily
accessible. Sometimes,
the firewall itself can spy on you...
Also, whether you have a firewall like the one that comes with Windows
XP or a stronger firewall that blocks undesired outgoing traffic, it is
important to note that no firewall can block all types of spyware.
Whether you have an antivirus firewall or other virus protection in the
form of a Windows anti virus
or anti malware, it is important to note that no virus scanner can
detect all types of PC virus or spyware. Even when your computer is
updated to the
latest antivirus 2010, it must allow legitemate traffic out (such as
your web browsing and email). Some spyware use these ports in disguise
to send "home" whatever they want to send.
This is where we step in and offer a pinpoint solution for this
particular problem. You simply right-click the NetCeaseFire
icon in the system tray and select 'Toggle Intenet". That's it.
